Gerry has a warm inclusive manner, a unique combination of sound academic and professional training, and more than 25 years of experience. His holistic approach incorporates careful listening, affirming your strengths, and then jointly identifying what needs to change. Gerry will help you to chart a new direction, and walk beside you encouraging and guiding, as you implement the associated changes.

In addition to counselling Gerry’s professional focus includes remediating -rather than accommodating a variety of learning difficulties for children teens and adults.

Professional Point of Difference:

Gerry’s professional point of difference for both counselling and the remediation of various learning disabilities, incorporates assessing and re-regulating aspects of how your Autonomic Nervous System is functioning. (For example the gut-brain axis via the Vagus Nerve.) The net effect is a quicker release from a range of stuck problematic behavioural  patterns. Examples include PTSD & / or PTSI, anxiety, depression, angry outbursts, or repetitive negative thoughts. Defining symptoms of many learning difficulties / disabilities such as ADHD are greatly reduced, or are no-longer experienced, and the recovery time for concussion (head injury) is markedly reduced.

The following are key modalities Gerry uses to access and re-regulate interactive aspects of the Autonomic Nervous System:

  • Interactive Metronome® Available online and in-person

These modalities incorporate making use of the brain / body’s capacity for neuroplastic change
